Saw a rosy gleam through the window and opened the balcony door to reveal this spectacular dawn light. My camera wasn’t good enough to capture it really.

Beautiful. It looks like a nebula reaching out for Earth. Are you going to paint it? (Love the composition of the “lonely” trees on the hill and the road curving away.)
I can’t paint it. It’s gone already 🙂
I try not to paint from photographs, as they differ from reality in some important ways that ruin paintings. The pic is much more contrasty than the reality was; you could see the hills and houses much better in person and the light was more of a rosy gold.
It is a very magic hour of the morning, though, and I may paint something in that light sometime.
