The radical notion that women are people

…that is what feminism is.

Its goal is not “equality” (equality to what?  Oppressors?)  but the dismantling of the entire framework of oppression.   The dismantling of that framework would also free men from the brutality of masculinity, but feminism doesn’t focus on that because it focuses on women.

Dismantling the framework of oppression would free everybody.

Also because there is no such thing as masculinity. Men aren’t enslaved to this mythical masculine social construct, if they were than they would actually rebel from being violent, power hungry, domineering, OCD, sociopathic rapists. No one forces them to act like men. Men don’t have a gender, being a man does not limit ones freedom EVER. Being a man is not oppressive, it’s being given the identity of a human yet being able to act inhumanely.

    • I disagree that no one is forcing men to act like men. Men are conditioned into “masculinity” from an early age, basically brutalized until they learn to brutalize others. Those who don’t conform are bullied and ostracized until they do conform.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not playing a violin for the menz here, but I think this social conditioning that men get plays a crucial part in rape culture and in domestic violence.
